I have been researching my family for many years. However, I haven't done a very good job of sharing what I have learned. This blog is an effort to rectify that shortcoming. Much of my family on my father's side has been in the United States for many generations, some from early 1630's. On my mother's side, she and her mother were both adopted, so I haven't yet traced their biological ancestors. However, if I trace the adoptive ancestors, her father's parents were first generation immigrants from Sweden. On her mother's side, the family has been here for generations. As I have researched the families, I have discovered much history of the US that I didn't know. It made me realize how the history we learn in school is limited. There is so much material to cover, much of it is superficial. So, I hope to fill in some of those blanks as I describe my ancestors. I hope you enjoy.
